About

This is a blog for a character in the New Gallifrey/Olyesti Doctor Who roleplaying game being run in Second Life. It is a work of fiction and chronicles events in the RPG from the point of view of one character, the Arcalian Time Lady "April Kohl".

Apridilivariaseriskholidria I (aka "April Kohl", since so many species have trouble with Gallifreyan names)
April Kohl was the first Time Lord to be born from the looms of New Gallifrey. She was a member of House Arcalian and spent the majority of her time studying the Time Lord legal system. Originally she intended to be an Advocate within the justice system.

Events surrounding her death are clouded due to insufficient surviving records. What is known officially is that the ship she was travelling on, the human transport ship Heart of Independence, to meet with a client accused of murder was attacked. April went down with the ship, and is classified as having regenerated in the process.

Out-of-character "Cliff Notes" on April I for roleplaying (should you end up in the past and meet her)
April is well-meaning but can be very naive, especially in new and unfamiliar situations. She is a quick learner but does tend to be a little too trusting at times.

Apridilivariaseriskholidria II (the current regeneration)
Apridilivariaseriskholidria (aka "April") II
This incarnation is much older than she should be, given that she was barely 150 when she disappeared after the Heart of Independence crashed. She suffers from flashbacks to battles she can only half-remember and bears multiple stab wounds, burns and other battle scars.

Although personality change due to regeneration is not unheard of, April's change has been severe. She was distrusting of authority, dedicated to her own brand of "justice" and her temper was much shorter than ever before.

These problems were brought about when she discovered a "missing period" in her own history. After the Heart of Independence crashed, she was recovered by a salvage crew and sold as an alien curiosity. Many experiments were conducted on her and she was used as a soldier in an alien war for over a century.

She eventually escaped but her escape came at a price - she suffered extensive neurological damage that was only repaired at a severe cost to her memory.

April uncovered all this during research into her past. She confronted her abductors and those responsible for the experimentation, and brought the survivors of the encounter to justice. Now she is trying to rebuild her life and make the best of a bad situation.

Out-of-character "Cliff Notes" on April II for roleplaying
April used to act like she thought she was a cross between Judge Dredd and John Rambo. Now she's trying to be more calm and collected; although sometimes her battle scars show through.

Other Regenerations
Occasionally, later regenerations of April are encountered; although this is rare as she knows not to cross her own time line unless it can't be avoided. The most commonly-met future regeneration is the oriental-looking April III, who has a far more cynical outlook on life to April II.
